Cavalier Tactical Rotation Fund - Monthly Commentary - April 2019:
The Cavalier Tactical Rotation Fund, (CTROX), had two sector changes during the month of April. The Consumer Staples Select Sector (XLP) and The Health Care Select Sector (XLV) sectors were “turned on” at the beginning of the month. The two sector changes left all 11 sectors “turned on”, Materials (XLB), Financials (XLF), Industrial (XLI), Utilities (XLU), Consumer Discretionary (XLY), Consumer Staples (XLP), Real Estate (XLRE), Energy (XLE), Technology (XLK), Communication Services (XLC), and Healthcare (XLV) all allocated at approximately 9% each. The Fund had two main sector detractors which were Technology (XLK), underweight approximately 12.5%, with the sector up 6.43%, detracting -0.30%, and Real Estate (XLRE), overweight approximately 6%, with the sector down -0.47%, detracting -0.27%. The Fund had one contributor which was the Healthcare Sector (XLV), underweight approximately 4.5%, with the sector down -2.63%, contributing 0.30%. Overall, the Fund was up 3.43% in April, slightly trailing the S&P 500 benchmark ending the month up 4.05%.
